Meet Our Instructors
All of our coaches are L1 or L2 certified which means that they are trained in the fundamental principles and movements of CrossFit. Some hold certificates in Kids CrossFit, Nutrition, and Masters.
I recently became a CF-L1 trainer and I am excited to encourage others in their wellness journey. The more I learn about fitness and health, the more I am blown away by how amazing the human body is designed! The mechanics of movement, body systems, and capacity to build strength are incredible! I love how physical training parallels so closely with mental and spiritual fitness for me. Crossfit is about so much more than big muscles! Feeling capable, energized, connected in the community, and overcoming fears are benefits aside from a number on a scale.
I fell in love with the competitive side of CrossFit and, of course, the community! Over the years my “why’s” have changed: to lose weight, to gain muscle, to compete, to be healthy physically, for my mental health, and to just survive! This gym has seen me through some highs and some very hard times in my life! I just keep showing up to class and leaving it all out on the floor, no matter what I have to give that day. I decided to get my CF-L1 to gain knowledge for my own journey and in hopes to help my peers along the way!

A CrossFit membership gift card changed my life. I had nothing to lose, except pounds! 2012, I walked into CrossFit for the first time, I would have never imagined that the gift card would lead to so many great changes in my life. Today I am a CFL-2 trainer I am engaged and passionate about coaching. I have been lucky enough to meet so many inspiring people through CrossFit. Learning is a big part of CrossFit we learn about movements, our bodies, nutrition, leadership, mental toughness, you name it, we learn about it. This is what makes us better every single day.

ABOUT DR. J
I am a Doctor of Optometry and I have a Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry. I first started CrossFit in 2011. Like so many other people, CrossFit helped me achieve a level of fitness that I never had reached before. I became a CF-L1 in 2013 and became a Nutritional Therapy Consultant in 2016. After years of seeing CrossFit change lives and improve people’s health, I was able to purchase CrossFit Enfocado on March 1, 2022. I am excited that I can help our CrossFit team make a difference in the lives of those who are looking to improve their health.
I am not a typical athlete; I battle weight, motivation, and coordination. After a hard workout one early morning years ago a member said to me “You know the WOD is the hardest thing we do all day. “ As I laid there on the floor exhausted from the WOD I laughed because he was right. This was going to be the hardest part of my day and I accomplished it. All the other mountains in my life did not seem so impossible. I treat life like a chipper WOD, and I chip away at life one movement at a time. I am a CF-L2 coach and I would like to help you chip away at health and wellness.
I started out doing CrossFit-style workouts with a friend. Eventually, I moved to a local gym but got stuck in a rut doing the same exercises over and over. It was boring and I always worked out by myself. Exercise boredom ended when I dropped into a CrossFit box, the workout was challenging, and the people were friendly. I quickly remembered why I did CrossFit. There is nothing better than working out with a class because you know they are fighting the same fight as you every day. I am a CF-L1 coach now and love the methodology of Crossfit, which includes the community.

I care deeply about my clients, and there’s nothing of more value to me than helping somebody go through an experience that makes them happy, confident, and strong. I realize how being confident affects many aspects of your life. I’m here to be your guide on this journey. One of the best moments throughout my journey has been realizing that my body couldn’t do what it just did. If something stands between you and your success, move it. Never be denied . Remember keep your squats low and your standards high.
I was introduced to CrossFit by a co-worker that constantly talked about the benefits of CrossFit. At the time, I belonged to a local gym. I notice how monotone and inefficient my regular workout routine was. I realized that I was not at the level I wanted to be physically or mentally. This motivated me to make the life-changing choice and to become a member of CrossFit. I become a CF-L1 coach recently and understand in-depth how this sport benefits people, physically and mentally. CrossFit is a positive coping mechanism in my life that pushes me to become a better person.

I started CrossFit about 3 years ago during a 6 week challenge. I loved it!! The good endorphins that came from the workouts and positive atmosphere had me addicted! I then encouraged a coworkers to join and realized how much I enjoyed helping them. It was a No brainer to jump at the opportunity to become a coach. Now I get to share all those good endorphins with others. It is truly an honor to help athletes set goals and then encourage & watch them transform and achieve them! My goal as a coach is to never stop learning, growing and sharing!
